Idea & design
A world of contrasts which enables guests to see and feel the history of the monastery. Attention was focussed primarily on giving expression to the “Genius Loci” – the spirit of the place – in the architecture.
Features
Total area: 725m². Small Kloster Thermal Spa: Finnish sauna, SANARIUM®, steam bath, relaxation room and sunbathing lawn with views over the forest, 15 x 6m indoor pool. Heiliggeist Spa: Treatment rooms.
Built at the start of the 19th century as a place for children to recuperate, the building was later used for many years as a monastery. Today it houses a certified family hotel where discerning guests will find a family-friendly hideaway, tucked deep into unspoilt countryside. Here, contemporary design and the historic monasterial backdrop melt into an inviting, relaxing atmosphere, enhanced by the use of natural materials such as sandstone and oak, and warm colours and antique furnishings.
